Trailblazer Mary Galloway Arrives At Safe Harbour


Galloway's achievements include being a TIFF Rising Star, a recipient of WIFTV's Newcomer Award, and being named to The Hollywood Reporter's list of Breakouts Making An Impact on Hollywood. Recently, she released her web series Querencia, streaming on APTN lumi and is a graduate of the CFC Directors Lab 2021.

Pleiadian Pictures is pleased to announce that Mary Galloway of Vancouver, will be writing, directing and acting, in the television series Safe Harbour. Mary is an award-winning, mixed Cowichan, filmmaker, actor, and fierce trailblazer; paving the way for Indigi-queer content creation. Galloway bravely tells stories that represent marginalized communities.

Mary began her career in front of the camera, starring in three feature films and has over thirty acting credits to her name. She wrote, directed and co-starred in the web series Querencia, that was nominated in the 2022 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Web Program or Series, Fiction. She continues to act while, also using her talent behind the scenes writing and directing as well.

“Mary brings intelligence, insight, a strong voice and much needed feminine energy to the project. She is well positioned to help us bring the story, and characters to life. We’re thrilled to have Mary on board and know she will help take the series to another level.  We’re extremely excited to work with her,” Pitch said. 

Safe Harbour is created and written by Jules L. Pitch, and has universal messages meant to remind humanity of the importance and power of nature, human connections, standing up for what is right and the realization of oneness through spiritual growth. The show takes notes from series like Parks and Recreation, Rutherford Falls and Schitt’s Creek.
